Anweshippin Kandethum OTT: Tentative digital release date & platform of Tovino Thomas starrer police thriller is here

New Delhi: After generating massive buzz amongst the fans, Tovino Thomas starrer Malayalam action thriller Anweshippin Kandethum finally graced the theaters last Friday (9 Feb 2024). Thanks to its captivating story & plot, the movie received an overwhelming response from the fans who welcomed it with packet theaters & housefull shows in its initial weekend.

As a result, Anweshippin Kandethum managed to rake in an impressive collection of Rs 4.4 crore (India NEt) from the ticket windows within its first 3 days & now looks poised to touch the monumental figure of 9 crores at the global Box Office before the end of the week.

Meanwhile, as the Siddique starrer continues to entertain the cinephiles by holding strong on the big screens, fans are also getting excited about its arrival on the OTT platform & here’s all we know about the same.

As Anweshippin Kandethum has only recently arrived in the theaters, its makers have made no update regarding the movie’s digital debut date or OTT platform. However, considering the filmmaker’s previous production ventures, one can expect the movie to arrive on Netflix by late March or early April after the end of its theatrical run.

Helmed by newbie director Darwin Kuriakose, Anweshippin Kandethum is a promising police thriller allegedly influenced by some shocking crime cases that rocked the state of Kerela. It throws light on the lives of local police officers who are part of the investigation related to a teenager’s mysterious murder & are challenged with the task of finding the accused.

Besides superstar Tovino Thomas, Anweshippin Kandethum’s ensembled cast sees a number of talented actors like Siddique, Indrans, Shammi Thilakan, and Baburaj in key roles. The film is bankrolled by Yoodle Films & Theatre of Dreams and was released in the cinemas on 9 February 2024.
