AP Dhillon talks about from his survival days in Canada to getting offers in Bollywood

The music India is making or coming from the Indian people residing in US and Canada is getting viewed and recognized now.

New Delhi: India-born Canadian Singer AP Dhillon who gained popularity through the songs like Brown Munde, Excuses, and Summer High is at his peak of success. The artist believes that the brown community is finally getting the applause it deserves. The singer whose journey has been a roller coaster ride from the small village of Gurdaspur to Vancouver, Canada has risen to such fame that now it is portrayed in a documentary series, AP Dhillon: First of A Kind said the world is now recognizing the music created by the Indians residing in Canada and the US.

He further said that we as a community are getting the light and appreciation that we deserve and that our culture is moving forward in hip-hop music. He doesn’t think the world has taken them seriously before and they are seeing also appreciating them. The music India is making or coming from the Indian people residing in US and Canada is getting viewed and recognized now. It is fantastic to see the artist are now doing different things, trying to make their own music. So this is giving hope to the people, they are seeing things in a more positive way said Dhillon.

 

Amritpal Singh Dhillon who is popularly known as AP Dhillon went to Canada in 2015 for his post-graduation course in Business Administration and Management. About four years he did odd jobs in Canada like working in Gas Stations and convention stores which he also described in his song Brown Munde.  Dhillon told music has always been his  passion and he wanted to make music for sure. Initially he wanted to become a Basketball player but he dropped the plan and was in survival mode while he was in Canada. Students go there and forget their passion and just live live for the survival due to the pressure of fitting into the culture but AP pursued his passion .

When asked whether he got any offer from the Bollywood, AP said yes,there had been many but was not at the right time, when he it will be the right time he will surely do it. He just don’t want to force it
