About the Film
The story of the documentary series is based on the incident that happened during the 70s when Apollo 13 was planned as the third mission to land humans on the moon.
However everything changed when an explosion occured and affected the spacecraft’s service module which led to the limited supply of oxygen in the space. This changed the entire focus of the flight.
The spacecraft was launched from Keneddy Space Center on 11th April, 1970 but the lunar landing was aborted after an oxygen tank in the service module (SM) ruptured two days into the mission, disabling its electrical and life-support system.
