Aryan Khan case: National anti-drug agency suspends two officers involved in probe

The case came to the limelight on October 2, 2021, as it involved Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan. 

New Delhi:  In the latest development in the drugs-on-cruise case, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) suspended two officers who were associated with the probe. The case came to the limelight on October 3, 2021, as it involved Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan.

On October 3, Aryan Khan was arrested with 19 others during a raid by the NCB on a cruise ship. The ship was parked alongside the Mumbai coast.

A total of 20 people were booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act for alleged possession, consumption, sale/purchase of banned drugs, conspiracy and abetment.

Currently, two accused are in judicial custody while 17 others got bail, including Aryan Khan.

Juhi Chawla signs bail bond of 1 lakh for Aryan Khan

Before coming out of jail, Aryan Khan spends 22 days in jail. The bail condition for Aryan Khan was signed by actor Juhi Chawla. She also signed the Rs 1 lakh bond for Shah Rukh Khan’s elder son. On the bail, Aryan Khan’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde said, ”She (Juhi Chawla) knows him from birth as they are professionally associated.”

Aryan Khan gets a wavier from appearing NCB Mumbai office every Friday

Bombay High Court granted a wavier to Aryan Khan in December 2021 from appearing before the NCB Mumbai office every Friday.

It was earlier manded by the court during his bail. In the order, the court said he, however, has to be present before the SIT Delhi whenever is required, provided the notice is to be given prior 72 hours.
