New Delhi: What if the unveiling of a well-crafted lie is enough to bridge the distinctiveness between 4 sisters and shatter their happy facades and picture-perfect faces? The oncoming drama plot of the Japanese web series ‘Asura’ is a show you should start the new year with this upcoming January.

Featuring famed actresses like Rie Miyazawa, Yu Aoi, and others, the web series follows a neatly crafted plot of lies and deception. The series is all set to release on the 9th of January on the streaming platform – Netflix. 

Plot 

Four completely different sisters of the same household are faced with the dilemma of a fake-pretend happy life when they find out their father has a Mistress.

The four sisters are evenly distinct, with vastly different lives and hobbies. One sister is a traditional Japanese woman, while the other practices boxing.

The third sister has more modernized views on life while the fourth surrounds herself in literature. Their paths though altered and separate are reconnected with the discovery of their father’s affair. This leads to a crack in the happy and perfect facade the sisters believed they were and would remain in for a long time.

A letter is published in a news article, entailing the affair of their father which brings misery and distraughtness to the household. Desperate to keep the breaking bonds of their family together the four sisters try to hide the reality of their father’s infertility from their mother.

However, all this while they are also divided among each other, therefore suspecting that the person who published the letter in the newspaper article has to be one of them.

The web series trailer features each of the sister’s individual reaction to the news as well as the differentiating backgrounds they come from.
