New Delhi: Released in theatres in December 2023, Atharva rode the thriller craze in Telugu film and starred newcomer Karthik Raju and actress Simran Choudhary. Set against the background of a forensic inquiry, Mahesh Reddy directed the film. Peggo Entertainments’ Subhash Nuthalapati served as the film’s financier.
Preparations are underway for the film’s OTT debut after lukewarm reviews and a limited theatre release. The post-theatrical OTT rights have been bought by the upcoming streaming network ETV Win, which is owned by the Eenadu company. Atharva, which opened in theatres about six weeks ago, will be available via streaming services on January 18, 2024, with the hope of reaching a larger audience.

Plot
Atharva, the protagonist, is a man whose life’s mission is to become a police officer. Unfortunately, he struggles with asthma. So that he may continue to pursue his passion, someone suggests that he join the police department’s clues squad. He eventually finds work with Telangana Clues and Forensic.
With boundless energy, Atharva cracks a lot of cases. One day, he runs across his long-lost college love, Nitya, at the murder site. Joshni Huparikar, an actress, is introduced to Atharva by Nitya. After the actress’s death, the police suspect the boyfriend of the deceased actress of being the killer. Nevertheless, Atharva discovers more terrible secrets as he delves further.
