For the unversed, a video of Goenka mercilessly schooling LSG’s captain KL Rahul following his team’s embarrassing defeat against SRH in IPL 2024 recently went viral on social media.

The clip attracted heavy criticism for Goenka from several cricket fans, experts & media persons who openly staged their anger against the billionaire businessman for treating a sportsperson in such a rude manner.

Taking to her official Social media handle, Athiya, on Monday shared a soothing picture of sunshine making its way through dense clouds and falling on the ocean. Along with the picture, the actress attached a cryptic caption and the same read, “the calm after the storm.”

Despite Athiya nowhere mentioning the viral ugly moment between KL and Goenka in her story, netizens are now strongly of the opinion that her post has definitely something to do with the infamous incident.

Meanwhile, on her work front, Athiya last graced the big screens in Debamitra Biswal’s 2019 release comedy-drama Motichoor Chaknachoor.

In the movie, the 31-year-old played the lead female role while sharing the screen with several prominent actors including Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Vibha Chibbar, and Abhishek Rawat.

However, the actress has kept herself away from the cinema since then and is focusing more on shooting for advertisements. Additionally, she is also busy accompanying and cheering for her husband Rahul during his recent cricket tours.
