New Delhi: Salman Khan has announced that the sequel to his and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan will be released in 2021. He also disclosed at the time that K V Vijayendra Prasad is working on the film’s script. The film’s working title is Pawan Putra Bhaijaan. According to reports, Pooja Hegde has been cast as the movie’s lead female.
According to the reports, Salman has approached Pooja Hegde in the role of lead actress, Kareena Kapoor in ‘Pavan Putra Bhaijaan. It remains to be seen whether Pooja will assume a fresh role or fill Bebo’s shoes. It’s interesting to note that Salman and Pooja are already romancing in his upcoming movie Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, and it looks like their romance will last more than one movie.
The sequel’s title, ‘Pawan Putra Bhaijaan,’ was confirmed by writer Vijayendra Prasad. He also revealed how he approached Salman with the sequel idea. “I have described the story outline to Bhai (Salman Khan), and he has loved it.” Now it’s up to him to decide on timelines.”
In the meantime, Salman Khan’s Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ka Jaan is set to hit theatres on Eid 2023. Farhad Samji directs the movie, which also stars Venkatesh Daggubati, Jagapathi Babu, Bhumika Chawla, Vijender Singh, Abhimanyu Singh, Raghav Juyal, Siddharth Nigam, Jassie Gill, Shehnaaz Gill, Palak Tiwari, and Vinali Bhatnagar.
In addition, Salman Khan will appear in ‘Tiger 3’. This action comedy is set to hit theatres in November 2023. Tiger 3, directed by Maneesh Sharma, will see Salman and Katrina Kaif reprise their spy roles. The film will also feature a brief appearance by Shah Rukh Khan and a pivotal role for Emraan Hashmi. Salman recently appeared in Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan for an extended cameo as well.
