Based on a True Story: Season 2 OTT Release: The English Dark Comedy thriller is all set to premiere on 22nd November on Jio Cinema. The series was last premiered in 2023 in Peacock and it was renewed for a second season in October 2023.
Plot
The story of the show follows the life of a woman named Ava Bartlett. How she struggles in her married and professional life as a Real Estate Agent. Everything is going normal in her life until one day.
The city where Ava lives begins experiencing murders and everyone is in a state of shock. The couple is living a normal married life and have recently become parents of a new born.
Ava tries hard to manage motherhood as well as career, her role as a Real Estate Agent. Meanwhile her husband Nathan traines tennis to his clients. As the murders rock the city, the police begins investigation
And starts questioning everyone in the town and the neighbourhood. Meanwhile one day the couple calls a man named Matt to fix their Toilet and he become friends with Nathan.
However on the other side, the entire media is reporting about the serial killer and the murders in the city. The series take a dramatic turn when the police finds the footprints of Matt in Ava’s house and they match the killer’s footprints.
In the later half of the series, Matt confesses in front of Ava that he is the serial killer. He is the one who had committed all the murders in the city. During his confession, he admits that he murdered over 20 women.
The series is created by Craig Rosenberg and it stars Kaley Cuoco and Chris Messina in pivotal roles.
