Magic (November 01)

Raja Chanda and Suman Sengupta co-wrote, directed, and produced the 2021 Indian Bengali-language psychological thriller love film Magic. Some of the actors in the film include Ankush Hazra, Oindrila Sen, Payel Sarkar, and others. On February 12, 2021, SSG Entertainment released this film in theatres.

There’s a great narrative in here about two individuals going through tremendous ups and downs without really recognising it. The protagonist, Indra, is a miserable young man at the beginning of the story. But magic is one of his favourite things which gives him happiness. His life undergoes a miraculous transformation once he falls in love with Kriti, a coworker. After Indra and Kriti fall in love, he recalls that he knew her in a past life, and the plot shifts accordingly.

Mitin Mashi (November 02)

Arindam Sil is the director of the 2019 Indian Bengali detective film Mitin Mashi. Famous writer Suchitra Bhattacharya’s novel “Hate Matro Tintey Din” served as the inspiration for the film starring Koel Mallick and Vinay Pathak. Mitin Masi is a fictitious private investigator that Suchitra Bhattacharya developed, and Koel Mallick plays the role of Mitin. On October 2, 2019, the movie was made available to see in theatres.

The tale is told from the perspective of Pragya Paromita, also known as Mitin, who is tasked with investigating the abduction of a Parsi couple’s son who is eight years old. Mitin has a degree in economics from the Presidency and manages to maintain an equal level of success in both her roles as a detective and a housewife.

Chhotolok – Series (November 03)

The latest performance by Indranil Roychowdhury, Chhotolok, is a change from his usual fare. In the story, Rupsha Ghosh, a promising young model, and bit player, is discovered dead in her New York City apartment. Upon beginning their inquiry, SI Sabitri Mondal and her subordinate Jamil Sheikh discover a tangled web of power, politics, vengeance, and passion.

Chhotolok is a catchall phrase used by upper-class Bengalis to refer to the marginalised or underprivileged. The conflict between the bhodrolok (upper class) and the chhotolok (lower class) is a central theme of the thriller. Kolkata is the scene, and it is proudly neither shiny nor sepia-toned.
