Bengali releases this week: 5 Bengali theatrical releases you can enjoy at the end of this November

November is filled with a lovely array of entertainment options that are sure to get you in the holiday mood. Bengali cinemagoers should get ready to be enchanted by this week’s highly anticipated offerings. Beginning with Nossir Kouto, starring Abhishek Singh, this week’s offerings include the comedy-drama Bogla Mama Jug Jug Jiyo, which stars Ditipriya, and a variety of other genres.

1. Nossir Kouto (November 17)

A snuff box called a Nossir Kouto is at the centre of the plot, along with the comedic outcomes that follow. At his uncle’s wedding, Soukarjo pays a visit to the family house. Once Soukarjo comes back with his family, he finds an antique snuff box and learns from his grandma that it belonged to Noren, his late grandpa. 2. Manush: Child of Destiny (November 24)

Sanjoy Somadder, a Bangladeshi filmmaker, makes his directing debut in Indian Bengali with this action thriller set in Bengali. The plot follows Arjun Mukherjee, played by Jeet, as he fights drug smuggling and a smuggler named Chhota Mannan. The story delves into Arjun’s descent from a virtuous officer to a darker side, shedding light on the cultural standards and circumstances that trigger this transition.

3. Ektu Sore Bosun (November 24)

Ektu Sore Bosun, a social satire directed by Kamaleswar Mukherjee and starring Paoli Dam, Ritwick Chakraborty, and Ishaa Saha, is an adaptation of Bonophool’s Pashapashi. In the storyline, a young guy named Guddu from a small town travels to Kolkata in search of work after being tormented by his family and neighbours back home. His older brother and sister-in-law own the property where he resides. Piu, who is Guddu’s romantic interest, also travels to Kolkata to watch after him. Relationship issues and associated difficulties are causing tension.

4. Bogla Mama Jug Jug Jiyo (November 24)

Based on Rajkumar Moitra’s titular novel, Bogla Mama Jug Jug Jiyo tells the story of Kebu, a young man who returns to his hometown to be with his family but finds himself coerced into competing in a theatrical event pitted against the headmaster of a rival village. When he learns about his competitors and the consequences of a loss, the issue becomes more problematic for him.

5. Kurban (November 24)

The narrative of a Bengali Muslim family is told in Kurban. Set against a rural landscape, the narrative delivers a compassionate tale. Abba, Ammi, her adoptive sister, Hasu, and Hijal are all part of Hasan’s cherished family in the film. Hasan has significant obstacles in life since he is a sensitive guy with a unique perspective. As a tempest rages over Hasan’s formerly ideal home, his principles are called into doubt.
