New Delhi: The two main characters, Eddie Murphy and Joseph Gordon-Levitt are back in the action-comedy film Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F.
A major contributor to Eddie Murphy’s meteoric rise to fame was the first Beverly Hills Cop. His unbelievably captivating performance as Officer Alex Foley, a police officer from Detroit who travels to Beverly, Los Angeles to assist in the investigation into the death of a former acquaintance, catapulted him to stardom on a global scale.
After two prequels in 1987 and 1994, Murphy is returning to play the role once again, 30 years after the original. Mark Molloy’s Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F will make its Netflix debut on July 3.
Plot
Thirty years after our last encounter with Axel Foley in Beverly Hills Cop III, the plot resumes as he returns to the posh LA neighbourhood to uncover a murder that hits close to home.
In this season, Axel Foley is back in Beverly Hills to save his daughter Jane from imminent danger. Jane and Axel join forces with her ex-boyfriend and Alex’s former friends, John Taggart and Billy Rosewood, to intensify the investigation and reveal a plot.

Cast and Crew
Axel Foley (Eddie Murphy), Captain Cade Grant (Kevin Bacon), Jane Saunders (Taylour Paige), Detective Bobby Abbott (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), Lieutenant William (Judge Reinhold), Serge (Bronson Pinchot), Chief John Taggar (John Ashton), and Inspector (Paul Reiser) are all returning characters in the film. Accompanying Detective Axel F. there are additional characters introduced by the filmmakers in this season.
Will Beall wrote the screenplay and Mark Molloy directed the action flick. In addition to Eddie Murphy and Chad Oman, Jerry Bruckheimer served as co-producer under the banners of Eddie Murphy Productions and Don Simpson/Jerry Bruckheimer Films. The film was shot by Eduard Grau and edited by Dan Lebental. The composer of the music is Lorne Balfe.
