Bhavana Menon breaks silence on sexual assault, says “My dignity was shredded to a million pieces”

Bhavana had earlier shared a statement on January 9, five years after she was allegedly abducted and sexually assaulted.

New Delhi: Malayalam actress Bhavana Menon finally opened up on sexual assault and her legal fight over the years.

In a recent interview, she said that she would give a strong fight without thinking about the outcome.

She talked about her struggle during her interview to a YouTube channel, ‘The Mojo Story’, on their Women’s day special show.

The actress without naming the accused revealed on how her life turned upside down in 2017, when she was abducted and sexually assaulted by a group of men in a moving car outside Kochi.

She also spoke up on how her trial turned her from a victim to a survivor.

The actor said that she was broken when she was being insulted and when people said that she had staged all the assault and also blamed her parents.

“My dignity was shredded to a million pieces,” she said.

She further said that despite she was strongly supported by her friends and family yet she felt lonely.

Bhavana had earlier shared a statement on January 9, five years after she was allegedly abducted and sexually assaulted. She had addressed the humiliation that she went through in the last few years post the incident.
