New Delhi: The newbie Mallidi Vasishta recently came up with a fantasy period drama written and directed by himself called Bimbisara. The film features the lead roles of Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, Samyuktha Menon, Catherine Tresa, and Prakash Raj in the lead roles. The film revolves around the fierce King Bimbisara who ruled the Trigartala Empire in the fifth century BCE and can travel through time.
Made with a massive budget of $40 million, and filmed at the renowned Ramakrishna Studios in Hyderabad, the movie consist of music created by M. M. Keeravani and Chirrantan Bhatt. Bimbisara rolled out in the theatres on August 5 and earned good reviews from the moviegoers as well as the critics, garnering an impressive collection at the box office.
OTT Platform and Date
The movie which was originally scheduled to hit the cinema halls in November 2021, could get released on the big screen on August 5 this year owing to the Covid-19 pandemic. The film is now set for a digital debut on OTT giant Zee5 on October 21.
The movie will bring a clash followed by the arrival of ruler Bimbisara in the present world. The second part of the film will air in August next year.
