Blue Exorcist: Here’s when the upcoming season 5 of the famous Mythology Series arrives on streaming platforms!

New Delhi: A dark fantasy manga series written and illustrated by Kazue Kato, Blue Exorcist released in 2011, taking the anime community by storm with its plot concept and characters.

With its early release in 2011 as a manga, Blue Exorcist secured over a sale of 25 million copies in circulation by December 2022, making it one of the best-selling manga series of its time.

Now coming up with a season 5, the fans of this highly popular fantasy anime with hints of dark grotesque twists are waiting in high anticipation for the anime to hit streaming sites in winter, 2025.

Plot

The plot revolves around two twin boys, Rin and Yukio Okumura. Both are raised under the care of Father Shiro Fujimoto, an exorcist who dotes on the boys and raises them with love and care.

The story takes a twist when Rin discovers, that he and his twin brother Yukio are the sons of Satan, born from the womb of a mortal woman. After an unfortunate circumstance leads Shiro, their father to die to shield them both right in front of Rin’s eyes, the boy draws the demon-slaying sword, known as the Kurikara, which restrains his demonic strength and powers.

From that moment on, Rin’s features adapt to a more demonic appearance, he gains fangs along with a tail and is also granted the power of igniting blue flames, easily able to destroy anything that comes in contact with them in a single touch, a monstrous display of power.

With the dream to become an exorcist like his guardian, Rin aims to become strong enough to defeat Satan and enrolls in True Cross Academy,working alongside his brother and friends to fulfill his end goal.
