Bobby Deol, who is all set for the release of his upcoming movie Animal, recently expressed his gratitude towards Salman Khan and reminisced about how he landed a role in the film Race 3.
Bobby deol grateful to Salman Khan
During a recent interaction at the Jagran Film Festival, Bobby Deol shared the story of how he secured the opportunity in Race 3 and expressed his everlasting gratitude towards Salman Khan. He recounted, “I will always be thankful to Salman and continue thanking him throughout my life. Salman called me one day and asked, ‘Mamu, will you go shirtless (for a film)?’ I replied, ‘I’ll do anything and he said, ‘Come to my house tomorrow.’ That’s how I got Race 3.”
Bobby explained that due to his absence from acting for a few years, the younger generation was not familiar with him. He acknowledged that being a part of a Salman Khan movie would garner attention from millions of viewers.
He added, “And that wasn’t exactly a turnaround, but people started recognizing me in a certain way. Because of that, I got Housefull 4, but as an actor, I wasn’t happy. I didn’t find it challenging. I wanted to prove myself and take on more character-oriented roles. And I think everything started for me with Class of ’83. Then came Ashram.”

In the movie Animal, Bobby Deol portrays the antagonist, and the teaser offers a glimpse of his character. Alongside Bobby Deol, the film features an ensemble cast including Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, and Triptii Dimri. Animal is scheduled to release in theaters on December 1.
