New Delhi: Brahmastra Part One: Shiva is considered to be the top among the films that are awaited for an OTT debut. The film turned out to be a hit and was released in various regional languages apart from the original Hindi version.
This superhero fantasy has emerged as one of the highest-grossing films in Bollywood this year. The film, which was released in theaters on September 9, gave some relief to the industry as a fair number of viewers came to the cinema halls to see it and if the producers are to be believed, they also deducted the cost of the film from the worldwide collections.
Now, makers are all set to release the film on OTT amid the festive season, and its platform and release date are almost fixed.
When and where to watch
The film, jointly produced by Star Studios and Karan Johar, will be released on the OTT platform Disney Plus Hotstar in the coming days. According to sources, talks are in the final stages between makers and the streaming giant, and if there are no major changes, the film will be released on the platform a day before the pious occasion of Diwali.
There is a massive possibility that the film will premiere on October 23, the Sunday before Diwali, which means that the theaters will get a full six-week exclusive window before it comes on OTT.
