New Delhi: On August 6, 2023, in Seoul, BTS member Suga wrapped off his D-DAY solo tour. BigHit Music, the agency representing BTS, made the announcement today (August 7) that Suga has begun the military recruitment procedure and will shortly be joining. After his group members Jin (December 2022) and Jhope (April 2023), Suga will be the third member to enrol for required military duty.

Suga has requested an application to terminate the postponement so that he may begin his military service as quickly as possible. Once final plans have been made, the agency said it will announce the official date.

BigHit Music announcement read, “Hello.

This is BIGHIT MUSIC.

We would like to inform our fans that SUGA has initiated the military enlistment process by applying for the termination of his enlistment postponement….”

Suga has had surgery on his injured shoulder. It was thus already known that the rapper would not be serving as an active member of the military. However, a statement from BigHit Music is expected soon.

Kim Namjoon (RM), the BTS leader, is widely considered to be the next member to join the military following Suga. However, RM has reassured his fans that he has no plans to join the military very soon.

On the last day of the D-DAY tour, Suga became visibly emotional while performing. Many of his fans expressed their love by showering him with praise. Fans were taken aback by the sudden enlistment announcement made today.
