Burglary at Sonam Kapoor, Anand Ahuja’s Delhi house; cash, jewellery worth Rs 1.41 crore stolen

A bad update has come for Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja that someone stole cash and jewellery worth Rs 1.41 crore from their Delhi residence.

New Delhi: Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja are going become parents soon. The news of the pregnancy was shared by the actress in March. Amid the good news, a bad update has come for the couple that someone stole cash and jewellery worth Rs 1.41 crore.

However, the police have registered an FIR and are investigating the case. Notably, there are very few details have revealed about the theft.

Incident took place on February 23

Sharing some beautiful photos flaunting her baby bump with her husband Anand Ahuja, Sonam Kapoor shared her pregnancy on March 23. It is reported that Sonam’s mother-in-law lodged the complaint at the Tughlaq Road police station about the theft at their home. After registering an FIR, Delhi police formed squads for investigating the case soon due to the high-profile connection.

Owing to this, the couple is going through a tough time.

Delhi police questions 25 employees

In the line with the investigation, Delhi Police questioned 25 employees, 9 caretakers, drivers, gardeners, and other workers. Evidence is also being collected by the FSL. All the staff of Sonam and Anand are being questioned in the investigations. Delhi Police have also checked many CCTV footages to get any lead in the case.

Elder family members live at Delhi house

At the Delhi residence, located at Amrita Shergil Marg, Sonam’s father-in-law Harish Ahuja, and mother-in-law Priya Ahuja live with Anand’s grandmother Sarla Ahuja. According to the complaint, Sarla Ahuja on February 11 found jewellery and cash are missing from her cupboards.

Saral opened the cupboard after around two years.
