Esha Gupta makes Cannes 2023 debut, thanks ‘govt for giving opportunity to represent India’

New Delhi: The Cannes Film Festival kicked off this year with an unforgettable bang, as actor Esha Gupta, star of the film Jannat 2, made her red carpet debut. Esha attended the official opening ceremony and the screening of the opening movie, Jeanne Du Barry, which is Johnny Depp’s return picture, as part of the Indian government delegation. Esha wore a flowing white gown with a thigh-high split as she walked the red carpet. Nicolas Jebran’s gown was adorned with an OTT collar and beautiful lace flowers on the neck.

Previously, the actress posted on social media, “I am delighted to be here at Cannes Film Festival 2023 as part of the Indian government delegation.” I’d want to use this opportunity to thank the Indian government and FICCI for giving me this chance on a worldwide scale. Walking the red carpet at Cannes is a dream come true.”


Other Indian stars attending the event for the first time include Sara Ali Khan, Anushka Sharma, Mrunal Thakur, and Manushi Chillar. Dolly Singh, creator of content, and reality TV program star Sakshi Pradhan are going to be in attendance. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, a Cannes veteran, also appears in the event.
