Carême OTT Release: Fans of international crime dramas and psychological thrillers now have a new title to add to their watchlist. Carême, the much-anticipated French mystery thriller, is officially available for streaming.

Blending suspenseful storytelling with moody cinematography and compelling performances, the series brings a fresh perspective to the genre and promises a gripping viewing experience.

Carême was set to premiere on AppleTV+ from the 21st of April, 2025, making it accessible for viewers across the globe.

Plot

Set against the rich, volatile backdrop of post-revolutionary France and the grandeur of Napoleon’s Europe, Carême unfolds the extraordinary and pulse-pounding journey of Antonin Carême (played by Voisin), widely regarded as the world’s first celebrity chef. From the soot-covered kitchens of impoverished Paris to the gilded halls of aristocracy, Carême’s story is one of sheer determination, brilliance, and the relentless pursuit of greatness.

Born into poverty, Antonin Carême grew up with little more than hunger in his belly and an extraordinary gift for cooking. As his reputation for culinary innovation and refined artistry begins to spread, he captures the attention of high-ranking political figures—men of influence and ambition who see more than just a talented chef in him. Recognizing Carême’s proximity to powerful individuals and elite circles, they enlist him to work as a spy under the guise of a culinary genius, transforming his dream into a double-edged sword.

As Carême climbs the social ladder, he finds himself torn between two worlds—the romantic dream of becoming the greatest chef the world has ever known, and the dangerous game of political espionage where trust is fleeting and betrayal is constant. Lavish banquets and royal kitchens serve as battlegrounds where people exchange secrets as easily as recipes, and every dish they serve carries hidden consequences.

While fame, wealth, and women soon follow, so does the weight of his choices. Carême must confront what he’s willing to sacrifice in pursuit of his ambitions.
