New Delhi: Chaaver, the most recent political action-drama starring Malayalam actor Kunchacko Boban and directed by Tinu Pappachan, is about to start streaming on an over-the-top platform.
On Thursday, Kunchacko Boban announced on his social media page that Chaaver will become available to watch on SonyLIV beginning today, November 24.

The movie was released in theatres on October 5, and it was written by Joy Mathew and stars Arjun Ashokan, Manoj KU, and Antony Varghese, amongst others.
Tinu Pappachan, who has previously directed thrillers such as Swathanthryam Ardharathriyil and Ajagajantharam, has kept action scenes to a minimum in Chaaver, but he has increased the intensity of those moments that he has included. Kunchacko had said before that the film also has a subtextual layer of human feelings that are imagined in a manner that is both solemn and exhilarating.
The reviewers complimented the film’s graphics, even though the pacing of the movie was one of the complaints they had after seeing it in the theatre, in addition to the complicated screenplay. A significant portion of the film, which is also in part about a trip, was filmed in Kannur and many other sites in Tamil Nadu. One of the most exciting parts of the film is its climactic action scene, which is also one of its highlights.
Chaaver gives the spectator a glimpse into the life of political henchmen and demonstrates how, in the grand scheme of things, these individuals are often used as scapegoats. It follows a group of guys who leave after being involved in a political murder and the ramifications they have to face for their acts as a result of their conduct.
Plot
Political thugs commit a heinous act by kidnapping an uninvolved spectator and then fleeing the scene. As the police pursue them, they find themselves confronted with ethical conundrums. They have evaded punishment but now face repercussions that will drastically change their lives.
When and Where to Watch?
The Instagram post by Kunchacko Boban makes specific reference to the movie’s OTT release date. The streaming rights to the movie have been acquired by Sony Liv, and the film’s digital release is slated for the 24th of November.

Other Details About the Film
The date when the film will be available in theatres has been pushed back more than once. Chaaver was first supposed to be released in theatres on July 20, 2023, but it was pushed back many times, first to September 21, then to September 28, before finally making its way to the big screen in October. The picture was given a rating of U/A by the Censor Board.
