The ongoing year of 2022 has remained assorted in terms of domestic movies, as many hyped-up titles had to fall flat at the box office despite having a tremendous budget and star cast, while some turned out to be cinematic wonders, drawing massive crowds in theatres in spite of regional and language barriers.

Though the much-awaited flicks of this year including Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha, Ranbir Kapoor’s Brahmastra, and Ranveer Singh’s 83 could not nab the title of being a ‘hit’, here’s a list of those which earned the highest ratings on IMDb this year and are must watch before the year concludes.

The life of a troublesome man takes a U-turn when he unwillingly rescues a dog, who turns out to be his only friend and closest companion in the process. Kiranraj K directorial had to face a delayed release owing to the pandemic but was able to collect a whopping Rs 100 crore earnings worldwide. The movie can be binge watched on Amazon Prime as well as Voot.

# Rocketry: The Nambi Effect

IMDb rating – 8.9

Based on the tragic true story of ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan, falsely framed for treason, Rocketry features R. Madhavan in the lead. The movie garnered massive critics and audience reviews and was screened at the Cannes Film Festival 2022. The biopic can be catched on Amazon Prime Video.
