Earlier, RRR’s director SS Rajamouli expressed his disappointment with RRR not being sent as India’s official Entry for the 95th Academy awards. He said he was surprised that the Film Federation of India chose Pan Nalin’s Chhello Show instead of RRR when RRR had greater chances of bagging an Oscar.

He further said that albeit it is disappointing but they (Team RRR) won’t sit around and get angry about it. Rather, they have moved forward.

Snubbing RRR and Kashmir Files chances to be selected as India’s official entry, FFI’s jury unanimously picked The Chhello Show to represent India at the 95th Oscars.

The Chhello Show is a Gujarati language film about a young boy and his love for cinema.
