New Delhi: After impressing the fans and critics on the big screens, Siddharth’s super hit emotional drama Chinna (Chithha in Tamil) is all set to win over the hearts of OTTians in the coming week.
Despite clashing with two big films (Jayam Ravi’s Iraivan & Kangana Ranaut’s Chandramukhi 2) at the Box office, Chithha emerged as a major success at the box office after receiving heaps of praise from the cine-goers.
While the film started off its BO journey in a sluggish manner, the amazing word of mouth it received soon started pulling crowds towards cinemas and the same caused its collection to eventually soar up.
So far, in its 25-days-long BO run, the film, made with a small budget of 4 crore, has made a decent collection of Rs 16 crore and has been declared a super hit. For the same reason, lead actor Siddharth, whose exceptional acting made the audience fall in love with Chinna (Chittha in Tamil), penned down a gratitude message for the fans who made the film a commercial success.
Taking to his Instagram, the 44-year-old actor wrote, “Thank you to the universe for helping us make this film. To all those who had access to the film and chose to see it in Cinemas… You have my heart and gratitude. You earn the right to talk about cinema, and we owe it to you to listen… All because you went out and supported a film this good.”
“To those without access to our Film in cinemas..CHITHHA will be on Disney Hotstar in a few weeks. Please do watch it and show us your love. Thank you for your patience.”, he added further.

Chinna OTT release date

While it was initially believed that Chinna (Chithha) would make it to the digital platform Disney+Hotstar on November 17, the official date for the film’s release came out to be 28th November.
This means that you will be able to enjoy Chinna (Chithha) from the comfort of your homes from 28 November (Tuesday) on the OTT platform Disney + Hotstar. However, you need to have a basic subscription to the platform’s service in order to watch the movie.

Helmed by skilled director S.U. Arun Kumar, Chithha or Chinna is a compelling emotional thriller that throws light on society’s serious issues like child abuse.
As the story of the film progresses, the Siddharth starter puts the viewers face to face with the ugly realities of the world. By its end, the film conveys a strong message on how adversely evils like child abuse affect the victim and their families and how should mankind support them for their upliftment.
Besides Siddharth, the film also features ace actors like Nimisha Sajayan, Sahasra Sree, Dhibu Ninan Thomas, and Vishal Chandrasekhar in pivotal roles.
Why was Chinna Telugu release postponed?
Although the makers originally planned to release the Chinna along with its Tamil version Chittha on 28th September, they were unable to do the same as the film only managed to get a few screens in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana owing to tough competition from other movies.
Later, ‘Asian films’ came to the film’s rescue and distributed it after which, its Telugu version finally arrived in the cinemas on 6th October.
