Crew Movie Review: Kareena, Kriti, and Tabu spice things up, but the film fails to leave a lasting effect on audiences

Crew Movie Review: It seems that the filmmaker was well-versed in the talents of his starring women and made every effort to showcase them.

New Delhi: Today, March 29, 2024, theatres are showing Crew, another film focused on women and stars Tabu, Kriti, and Kareena.

Saswata Chatterjee portrays the role of Vijay Walia, the proprietor of Kohinoor Airlines, whose flight attendants are Geeta, Jasmine, and Divya, played by Tabu, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Kriti Sanon, respectively. Comedy relief, blatant tension, a cliched robbery, and plenty of glitz are all there in this picture.

Plot

One part of Crew takes place while the three are under interrogation, while the other part reveals not just their backstory but also the extent to which they are buddies.

Tabu portrays the role of the senior member of the cabin crew, with Kareena and Kriti following closely after. After that, we see an airline declare bankruptcy and its workers endure the worst possible conditions. All three of them, along with many others, are suffering from the same financial woes and a job that pays nothing

The creators deftly navigate the genre of comedy-drama, ensuring that everything falls into place.

Review

The chaotic heist comedy Crew is piloted by a rowdy and ambitious trio of flight attendants.

It seems that the filmmaker was well-versed in the talents of his starring women and made every effort to showcase them.

Nidhi Mehra and Mehul Suri’s script isn’t shiny enough to distract us from the film’s flaws. It doesn’t make a strong attempt at humour. It has intermittent and minor successes.

Three strong women who aren’t afraid to break the rules to get what they want are the driving forces behind the film. Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tabu, and Kriti Sanon had a blast spending time together. Kareena and Kriti Sanon both provide outstanding performances, alongside Tabu.

The first part of Crew takes us on a charming journey into the terrible lives and corrupt choices made by our protagonists. The first part captivates and thrills with flashbacks that reveal the beginning of the smuggling and the girls’ ultimate fulfilment of all their dreams.

Although the tone becomes somewhat more serious in the second half of the show, there are still enough hilarious moments to make you giggle.

Several of the film’s most memorable scenes include our female leads being completely authentic.

Crew, all things considered, is a hilarious heist comedy that will have you on the edge of your seat. Tabu, Kareena, and Kriti’s amazing performances and charming chemistry will captivate you.
