Daniel Kaluuya aka W’Kabi won’t be returning for sequel of MCU’s Black Panther

‘Judas and the Black Messiah‘ star Dominique Thorne will also be joining the ensemble cast as she will be taking up the character of Riri Williams aka Ironheart. 

New Delhi: Daniel Kaluuya, who plays the role of W’Kabi in Marvel Studios’ Black Panther, said that he would not be a part of the sequel of the film. According to a report by Deadlin.com, the Oscar-winning actor confirmed that he would not reprise his role as W’Kabi in ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’.

Kaluuya is said to have exited the Marvel project due to conflicts with scheduling on Jordan Peele’s horror ‘Nope’The plot of the sequel is unknown as of now, but it would be interesting to see how Marvel Studios manages to pull off the film without two actors playing major roles in the film. In the absence of T’Challa, played by the late Chadwick Boseman, it is not revealed who will be the next ruler of Wakanda.

W’Kabi was a trustworthy friend of T’Challa and the head of the Border Tribe, who looked upon the security of Wakanda’s borders. It is not known whether Marvel Studios will replace Kaluuya or will they work in the absence of W’Kabi. The sequel of the film will have Dania Gurira as Okoye, Martin Freeman as Agent Ross, Letitia Wright as Shuri, Winston Duke as M’Baku and Lupita Nyong’o as Nakia in the lead cast. ‘Judas and the Black Messiah‘ star Dominique Thorne will also be joining the ensemble cast as she will be taking up the character of Riri Williams aka Ironheart.

The film is being directed by Ryan Coogler, who also directed the prequel to the film. ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ is set to release on November 11 in theatres.
