New Delhi: Dare to Love Me is a Korean romantic comedy-drama based on Sun Woo’s popular webtoon Treat Me Carelessly. It follows the romance of art teacher Kim Hong Do, whose carefree and honest personality clashes with that of Shin Yoon Bok, a scholar hailing from the village of Seongsan who holds strong Confucian principles.
Sun Woo, who made the original webtoon, has designed a new poster for the drama to share before its much-anticipated debut. The poster captures the charming relationship between the drama’s protagonists in a lighthearted way.
Kim Myung Soo and Lee Yoo Young bring the characters to life with their intense performances, and they will captivate viewers with their unique and delightful charm in Dare to Love Me, which faithfully recreates the webtoon’s romantic tone. On May 13, the romantic comedy will make its debut.

Storyline
An important mission has been bestowed upon Shin Yoon Bok, a diligent scholar hailing from Seongsan Village in South Korea, to safeguard the Joseon Dynasty’s heritage and retrieve priceless artefacts for his family.
As a distinguished Confucian scholar of his day, he reveres and follows the advice of his elders with great care. However, he also has the progressive outlook of a young person today and shows signs of disobedience from time to time. Despite his polite nature, he has difficulty connecting with people on an emotional level and prefers to keep his distance.
Upon meeting Kim Hong Do, a woman frustrated by life’s hardships, Yoon Bok’s path takes a dramatic change as he sets out from Seoul to become a webtoon writer, his lifelong ambition.
Release Date and Platform
On Monday – May 13, 2024, at 10:10 pm KST, KBS2 will start premiering – Dare to Love Me. Beginning on May 13, and continuing every Monday and Tuesday until July 2, 2024, the 16-episode drama will air.
Episodes will also be aired on Netflix and Viki Rakuten along with KBS2’s broadcast schedule, making the series available on a worldwide scale.

Jang Yang Ho is the director of this drama, which features multiple leading actors.
Shin Yoon Bok will be played by Kim Myung Soo. Popular works by Kim Myung Soo include Secret Royal Inspector, Angel’s Last Mission: Love, Miss Hammurabi, and many more.
The main female character, Kim Hong Do, is played by Lee Yoo Young. Lee Yoo Young (well-known for the drama Tunnel) is an ace actress in the Korean entertainment industry.
