New Delhi: Nani’s raw action-thriller ‘Dasara’ was released in cinemas on March 30 and is set to make its OTT debut. Directed by Srikanth Odhela, the film is set to release on Netflix on April 27. The Nani and Keerthy Suresh starrer film earned mixed reviews from critics but the audience thoroughly enjoyed it.
Netflix India South shared a tweet to make the announcement and mentioned that ‘Dasara’ will release in four languages, namely, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada.

The film is set in the backdrop of Singareni coal mines in Telangana and follows a story in a village full of alcohol addicts. The movie revolves around a bar where the upper castes drink inside while the people from the lower caste have to drink outside, and there is a love story, coal stealing and a lot of action. The film reflects on the themes of caste politics as the protagonist fights the upper caste for rights. ‘Dasara’ is a classic massy action-thriller delivering a social message.
With Nani and Keerthy Suresh in the lead, the film also stars Samuthirakani, Ahmad Harhash, Deekshith Shetty, Zareena Wahab and Jhansi. Sathayan Sooryan did the cinematography while the music in the movie is composed by Santhosh Narayanan.
‘Dasara’ is produced by Vijay Kumar Jaganti and Sudhakar Cherukuri under the banners of Sri Lakshmi Venkateshwara Cinemas. Starting with a great collection of Rs 23 crore on day 1, the film has grossed Rs 79.69 crore in 21 days at the box office.
