New Delhi: The teaser for Nani’s upcoming action flick ‘Dasara’ is out now. Directed by Srikanth Odella the film also stars Keerthy Suresh, Sai Kumar and Shine Tom Chacko. The teaser shows it to be a promising action-thriller with a story rooted in a small village in the setting of Singareni coal mines near Godavarikhani in Telangana and revolving around coal and liquor.
The teaser opens with the introduction of a village named Veerlapally and Nani’s voiceover tells that the villagers are not addicted to liquor, while drinking is a tradition there. Even the protagonist can be seen gulping a lot of liquor in the 1-minute 15 seconds clip. It soon turns into a revenge drama with a lot of fighting, fire and blood as only chaos prevails.
In the end, Nani can be heard saying that he doesn’t care about the consequences and is ready to fight. In the last shot of the teaser, he cuts his thumb and applies the blood to his forehead.
The film shares a lot of similar visuals and the traits of the protagonist as of ‘Pushpa: The Rise’.
‘RRR’ director SS Rajamouli released the teaser digitally while Dhanush, Rakshit Shetty, Dulquer Salmaan and Shahid Kapoor also shared the clip. Nani has described ‘Dasara’ as the “pure raw, rustic, and adrenaline-rush of a film” and called it his career-defining movie.
The music for the film is composed by Santosh Narayanan and produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri under the banner of Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Creations. ‘Dasara’ will hit cinemas worldwide on March 30.
