Delicious in Dungeon OTT Release Date: Know when and where to this adventurous animation comedy

New Delhi: Anime fans may look forward to a new series from Studio Trigger’s Delicious in Dungeon. In January of 2024, this mouth-watering delight will be available on Netflix, so be ready to savour it and brace yourself.

Studio Trigger is adapting Ryoko Kui’s popular manga Delicious in Dungeon into an anime series that promises a delectable mix of dark fantasy, high adventure, and gourmet cuisine.

Story

A crazed magician sinks the Golden Kingdom underground. The monarch of the kingdom rises and offers all his riches to anybody who can beat the magician. Encouraged by this promise, the guilds enter the maze-like dungeon to find the magician. The commander of one such guild, Laios, who loses his whole crew starts the clash. Undeterred, Laios, an elf healer named Marcille, and a halfling thief named Chilchuck rush back into the dungeon to rescue Falin, even though they have lost all their possessions and supplies.

To get supplies, Laios recommends the forbidden practice of eating dungeon creatures. As they begin to cook their first dinner in the dungeon, a dwarf called Senshi appears and interrupts them. He assists them in properly preparing their monster components since he is a monster culinary fanatic. Senshi joins their guild after hearing about Laios’ plight, and the two go on a food-filled adventure into the dungeon together, with Senshi expressing his ambition to prepare a dragon.

Reports have it that January 4, 2024, will mark the release of Delicious in Dungeon. The 26 episodes of Delicious in Dungeon will broadcast on OTT, guaranteeing fans a never-ending feast of magical cooking, exciting adventures, and fantastical foods. Igniting anticipation for the series due to launch internationally on Netflix, an English-subbed trailer earlier by Kadokawa displayed the animation talent of Studio Trigger. Bump of Chicken’s enchanting opening theme, “Sleep Walking Orchestra,” was also revealed in the video. The second trailer revealed the release date.

From February 2014 until September 2023, the animation was published in Harta, Enterbrain’s Seinen manga magazine. Now that Yoshihiro Miyajima is at the helm, the series’ creative team—including writer Kimiko Ueno and composer Yasunori Mitsuda—promises an exquisite sensory experience.
