‘Down with a fever…’: Samantha Ruth Prabhu shares health status as she skips ‘Shaakuntalam’ promotion event

The actor will not be able to attend the Annual Day Event of MLRIT on April 12, but team ‘Shaakuntalam’ will be there to promote the film.

New Delhi: Samantha Ruth Prabhu is down with a fever as the promotional events for ‘Shaakuntalam’ took a toll on her health. The actor will not be able to attend the Annual Day Event of MLRIT on April 12, but team ‘Shaakuntalam’ will be there to promote the film. She shared her health status on Twitter and urged fans to support her team.

Sharing on Twitter, Samantha wrote that she was excited to be amongst fans promoting her film throughout the week and ‘soaking in their love’. She added that the hectic schedules and promotions have taken a toll, and she has caught up a fever and has lost her voice.

Samantha urged her fans to join team Shaakuntalam at MLRIT and that she misses them.

The actor has been facing health issues in the recent past and in October 2022, she revealed her battle with auto-immune disease myositis. She has been vocal about her health status and even shared a post to talk about her myositis diagnosis before the release of her film ‘Yashoda’.dev mohan and samantha in mumbai

Her fans have stood by her in difficult times both physically and mentally as the actor has had a lot on her plate from her personal life to health issues.

 

Samantha will next be seen in ‘Shaakuntalam’ opposite Dev Mohan. The mythological drama is directed by Gunasekhar and also stars Kabir Bedi, Prakash Raj, Gautami, Aditi Balan and others. The film revolves around the story of Shakuntala and King Dushyant and will release in theatres on April 14.
