New Delhi: Drishyam 2, one of the most awaited & anticipated movie from the Hindi film industry, hit the theatres today. The movie, a sequel to Drishyam 1 is hoping for a strong opening at the Box Office on back of strong advance booking numbers.
According to reports, the movie received at least 1 lakh advance booking for the weekend, a number unseen in recent times. A lot is riding on the movie not just for it being a thrilling entertainer but also for heralding a new beginning at the Box Office.
The film marks the return of Ajay Devgn as Vijay Salgaonkar in the Drishya sequel. Drishyam was a big hit not just down south but its Hindi version also won many hearts. The movie starred Shriya Sharan, Tabbu. In Drishyam 2, Akshay Khanna is new & valuable addition to the flick. Drishyam 2 is the Hindi remake of Mohanlal’s movie. The earlier Hindi remake was also a imitation of Mohanlal’s movie named Drishyam.
In the first part, Tabu played IPS officer whose son mysteriously vanished and revolved around the plot how Ajay Devgn aka Vijay Salgaonkar befooled the cops to save his family.
In Drishyam 2, Tabu is not a police officer but someone who pursues Vijay to unearth the secrets.
