New Delhi: The anticipation surrounding the upcoming Malayalam-language action thriller “King of Kotha” has reached a new high with the release of its intriguing trailer. 

Starring the charismatic Dulquer Salmaan in the lead role, the film is directed by Abhilash Joshiy. The recently revealed trailer has provided a glimpse into a world engulfed by crime and suspense.

Dulquer Salmaan: A Dual Persona?

The trailer commences with an introduction to Raju, portrayed by Dulquer Salmaan, as he engages in a game of football. The narrative voiceover delves into Raju’s background and aspirations, hinting at his ambition to follow in his father’s footsteps and establish himself as a formidable figure in the world of crime. With an aura of intensity, Dulquer’s Raju emerges as the “King of Kotha,” who is revered by the public for his straightforward demeanor and rugged charm.

The trailer unfolds Raju’s complex journey, shedding light on his endeavors as well as the challenges he faces from both criminals and law enforcement. Action-packed sequences, intense confrontations, and glimpses of romance are seamlessly woven together, offering a taste of the riveting narrative. Adding an intriguing layer to the storyline, the trailer concludes with a cryptic scene where Dulquer Salmaan’s character seems to address himself, suggesting the possibility of a double role.

Initially scheduled for release on August 9, the trailer launch of “King of Kotha” experienced a delay due to the unfortunate passing of acclaimed Malayalam director Siddique. The production team deemed it appropriate to postpone the trailer launch as a mark of respect for Siddique. The statement released by the team expressed heartfelt condolences to Siddique’s family and friends during this challenging time.

Alongside Dulquer Salmaan’s captivating presence, the film also features Aishwarya Lekshmi in a significant role, contributing to the film’s intrigue and anticipation.
