Dunki Box Office Collection Day 4: Dunki becomes the 10th King Khan-starrer to reach the Rs 100 crore milestone

With the collection of Rs 31. 5 crore, Dunki has crossed the Rs 100-crore club at the Indian box office and become the 10th film SRK film to achieve so.

New Delhi: Despite stiff competition from Prabhas’ Salaar, Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki is steadily increasing its box office take. The fourth day saw a 23% increase for the Rajkumar Hirani picture, which helped it earn Rs 31.5 crores and guarantee a position in the 100-crore club.

Based on the statistics gathered by industry tracker Sacnilk, Dunki has crossed the Rs 100-crore club at the Indian box office. The film has earned a total of Rs 117.91 crore so far.

Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, and Bangalore, among other Indian cities, had very good occupancy rates all day long for Rajkumar Hirani’s family-friendly picture. While Sunday’s rise is encouraging, Dunki will need to build on that momentum with strongholds in the days to come.

The movie made Rs 29.2 crore on its first day of release, followed by Rs 20.12 crore on its first Friday (Day 2) and Rs 25.61 crore on its first Saturday (Day 3), according to Sacnilk. On Sunday, the fourth day of the film’s release, it brought in a staggering Rs 31.5 crore, which roughly equates the amount collected to 23 per cent more than the previous day.

Furthermore, according to Sacnilk, the film has so far earned over Rs 11.48 crore as of today, the fifth day of its release. The film’s total earnings up to this point amount to Rs 117.91 crore.

Along with Ra One, Don 2, Jab Tak Hai Jaan, Chennai Express, Happy New Year, Dilwale, Raees, Pathaan, and Jawan, Dunki is the tenth film starring King Khan to reach the Rs 100-crore club. Following Pathaan and Jawan, this is the superstar’s third straight 2023 film.

The collections are decent, but they need to improve more in the coming days to fight with Salaar, starring Prabhas.

About the Film

Dunki is a touching story of four friends—Manu, Sukhi, Buggu, and Balli—and their dreams of a better life in London. Difficulties arise as they go down the Donkey Flight, a peculiar path.

The story was written and directed by Rajkumar Hirani, Kanika Dhillon, and Abhijat Joshi. The film is co-produced by Rajkumar Hirani Films, Red Chillies Entertainment, and Jio Studios; it stars Shah Rukh Khan, Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, and Boman Irani in the leads.
