New Delhi: The first teaser for Dunki, starring Shah Rukh Khan, was unveiled on the actor’s birthday (November 02), giving fans a glimpse into the fantastical universe that Rajkumar Hirani has created for the film.
The first teaser for Dunki, Shah Rukh and Rajkumar Hirani’s debut film together, delivered the project’s greatest look yet.
In the film Dunki, Shah Rukh Khan portrays Hardy, a guy who longs to uproot his life and go to London with his best friends. Vicky Kaushal portrays Sukhi, while Taapsee Pannu is Manu. It seems that the film takes place in Punjab, where many young people are eager to leave their home country in quest of better opportunities.
The first shots of the teaser show the character Hardy, played by Shah Rukh Khan, along with a group of individuals who are all dressed in black and walking across the desert while being shot at by an unknown individual.
As he shoots in the film, the viewers journey back in time to the place where it all started, with a group of friends from Punjab who had dreams of working and living in London tomorrow. Hardy, the character played by Shah Rukh, makes a solemn oath that he will go to London with his pals and assist them in whatever way he can.
A supporting character, one of whom is portrayed by Boman Irani, may also be seen in glances in the teaser.
About the film – Dunki
The whole tone is quite different from Shah Rukh’s two biggest 2023 hits, Pathaan and Jawan, which included stylized violence and earned over Rs 2100 crores together. It seems that the film Dunki will continue to explore patriotic themes that Shah Rukh has explored in several of his previous works.
Jio Studios, Rajkumar Hirani Films, and Red Chillies Entertainment are all supporting Dunki. On December 22, Dunki will be released in theatres throughout India.
Last year, Shah Rukh Khan discussed the meaning of the word “Dunki,” the title of his next film. Shah Rukh discussed his film Dunki with Deadline at the Red Sea International Film Festival in Saudi Arabia in December 2022.

About Shah Rukh Khan’s 58th Birthday
Fans of the superstar Shah Rukh Khan from all over the globe have organised celebrations in honour of his 58th birthday, with many converging at midnight on November 2 outside his Mumbai mansion Mannat.
Midnight saw a surprise visit by Shah Rukh Khan in front of Mannat, where he met with his adoring fans. He blew air kisses to his adoring followers while dressed in a black t-shirt and matching headgear. King Khan thanked his supporters by waving and holding his hands together.
In a video that circulated on social media, SRK’s followers can also be heard applauding loudly outside Mannat.
