New Delhi: After achieving remarkable Box Office success with two back-to-back blockbuster flicks Pathan and Jawan, the King of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan is all set to try his luck on big screens for the third time with Rajkumar Hirani’s upcoming movie Dunki.
The film will make it to the theaters on 21 December and 4 days before that, the filmmakers finally opened its advantage bookings on Saturday.
Salaar vs Dunki advance booking day 1
By the time of writing this, Dunki had made around Rs 1.36 crore from its advance booking sales by selling 38,000 tickets for 2836 Hindi shows in one day.
Commenting on the same, ace trade analyst Sumit Kadel said that the pre-sales of Shah Rukh starrer has started on a remarkable note on day 1
Taking to his Twitter (now x), Sumit penned, “Dunki Initial pre-sale starts on a remarkable note. The film has sold 10K tickets at national chain multiplexes. Non-national chains showing good movement too.
“If the momentum continues then Dunki will challenge top films of 2023 in terms of final advance booking. The next 3 days will give a clear picture.” the analyst wrote further.

Meanwhile, Prabhas’ upcoming magnum opus Saalar, which is set to challenge Shah Rukh’s film by releasing on 22 December, is also amassing decent money through advance sales.
So far, the film has made an astounding amount of Rs 1.52 crore (approx) through advance bookings in India which went live domestically on 15th December.
Dunki advance sales trail behind Jawan and Pathan
Notably, Shah Rukh’s Dunki has received sluggish advance sales in the domestic circuit in comparison with his 2023 previously released actioners Jawan and Pathan.
While Jawan made a thumping collection of Rs 6.84 crore by selling as much as 2,00,454 tickets on the opening day of its advance booking, Pathan, despite being exclusively available on selected venues, made an astounding sale of 1.17 lakh tickets across all three national cinema chains.
