Echo OTT Release Date: Here’s when and where to watch the action-crime Marvel series on digital platform

Echo OTT Release Date: Viewers in the United States will be able to see the series late on the 9th of January, while those in India will have to wait until the 10th of January, all because of the different time zones.

New Delhi: Maya Lopez (Alaqua Cox), the adopted daughter of Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio), will be the focus of the next series that follows her after Hawkeye’s actions. This will be Marvel’s first TV-MA-rated series.

The stakes are at an all-time high in Echo, where Lopez was last seen wreaking havoc on Kingpin for his role in her biological father’s murder.

Plot

According to the show’s premise, viewers will uncover Echo’s backstory while also seeing Maya Lopez, whose cold-blooded actions in New York eventually catch up with her in her hometown. For her future to be bright, she must accept the significance of family and community, as well as confront her Native American background.

Despite Maya’s best efforts to carve out a new path for herself, the show will almost certainly keep focusing on her ties to the Kingpin and her criminal associations.

Earlier, in Hawkeye’s series finale, Maya abandoned the Tracksuit Mafia and her closest buddy Kazi. In Maya’s last scene, she confronts a wounded Fisk and points her gun at the man who killed her two loved ones, as Fisk tries to talk himself out of it.

When and Where to Watch?

Disney Plus Hotstar will release all of Echo’s episodes on January 10, 2024. Viewers in the United States will be able to see the series late on the 9th of January, while those in India will have to wait until the 10th of January, all because of the different time zones.

This marks a first: the simultaneous distribution of a whole Marvel series on the platform.

Cast and Crew

At San Diego Comic-Con, it was announced that Vincent D’Onofrio will be returning to his role as Maya Lopez’s surrogate father, Wilson Fisk, after their moments in Hawkeye. Charlie Cox will be returning to the character of Matt Murdock for the season.

Chaske Spencer, Tantoo Cardinal, Devery Jacobs, Cody Lightning, Graham Greene, Zahn McClarnon, and others have all been confirmed to feature in the series.

The fact that Echo will eventually have her own series was established even before her appearance in the Hawkeye series. Production started in 2022 and the debut was postponed from 2023 to January 2024. With Catriona McKenzie at the helm is Sydney Freeland.
