New Delhi: Curiosity on Albert Einstein’s life and work has surged, following the current trend of viewing biographical films. Einstein is often recognised as the most important man in history, thanks to his diverse contributions that extend well beyond the realm of science. Although his ideas continue to shape contemporary physics, understanding how they have been interpreted and their limits have been crucial to scientific advancements in the seven decades after his death. The continuing discussion of Einstein’s subjective assessments also promotes a more analytical and all-encompassing view of the past.

Plot
The documentary – Einstein and the Bomb explores the physicist’s problematic connection with Adolf Hitler and his courageous flight from Nazi Germany. Witness his travel to the US, where he urged President Franklin D. Roosevelt to launch the US nuclear programme, as shown on the show. German nuclear weapons development was a terrifying possibility, which led to this choice.
However, some indicate that Einstein felt guilt for his role in developing the atomic bomb in his final years. Looking back, he said he would not have signed the letter to Roosevelt if he had known Germany’s attempts would fail in the end.
It’s important to remember that the documentary’s screenplay is based on meticulous research of historical sources, including all of Einstein’s written or recorded words. Because of this, his life’s events and goals will be presented in a subtle and genuine light.
