Euphoria 3: Know about the plot, cast and release; here are some latest details about the highly anticipated upcoming season

HBO has now announced the renewal of the show for a third season. HBO posted a short video tweet announcing the renewal of the programme.

New Delhi: Sam Levinson’s hit series Euphoria is unlike any other high school drama you’ve seen on television. It’s darker and more dramatic in tone. The second season of Euphoria, a critically praised show on HBO, concluded on February 27, 2022, more than a year ago. Season 1 of the show began on June 16, 2019, and was an instant success.

Following the success of Game of Thrones, The Last of Us, and House of the Dragon, Levinson’s adaptation of the Israeli drama series Euphoria rapidly became HBO’s fourth most-watched series. The series has been a huge hit with A24 fans and has been lauded for its cinematography, writing, and acting despite its adult subject matter.

However, it has also been criticised for dealing with taboo topics including child abuse, sexual assault, drug use, addiction, and extreme indecency, even though the protagonists are just teens.

HBO has now announced the renewal of the show for a third season. HBO posted a short video tweet announcing the renewal of the programme.

Challenges await in the forthcoming season of Euphoria. It must deal with the sensitive nature of the show’s subject matter as well as the loss of Fez’s actor, Angus Cloud.

Expected Plot

Without giving too much away, we may assume that season 3 will advance the major protagonists toward graduation. Zendaya has hinted in interviews that the next season would focus on the characters’ lives after graduation.

Zendaya has said that Rue’s “chaotic” road to sobriety would also play a major role. The developing romance between Fez and Lexi (Fexi), will also likely be discussed. Laurie, portrayed by Martha Kelly, debuted in Season 2 and quickly became a fan favourite. Season 3 may bring more of Laurie’s frightening influence into Rue’s life.

Expected Casts

Zendaya will be reprising her role as series protagonist Rue Bennett. Storm Reid, who plays Rue’s younger sister, Gia, will also be back. Jules Vaughn, played by Hunter Schafer, will return, and the ending of Season 2 suggests that the connection between Jules and Rue will be developed further. Among the many returning cast members is Sydney Sweeney, who plays Cassie Howard, Jacob Elordi, who plays Nate, and Maude Apatow, who plays Lexi will be back. Ali Muhammad portrayed by Coleman Domingo, will also return. Cal, Nate’s father (Eric Dane), was arrested at the end of Season 2, and his reappearance is uncertain.

However, the actress who portrayed Kat, Barbie Ferreira, shared the news of her departure from the programme on Instagram. Ashtray, portrayed by Javon Wanna Walton, may not have made it through the events of Season 2, hence he might not be back.
