Exhuma: Lee Do Hyun & Kim Go Eun-starrer sees a great hit at the box office; exceeds 1M moviegoers in just 3 days

Exhuma: Already surpassing the one million moviegoers milestone, Exhuma has already dominated the Korean box office for the first two days of release, (released on February 22, 2024 -Thursday).

New Delhi: A fantastic start has been achieved at the box office by the South Korean mystery thriller titled Exhuma, which has been greatly praised by audiences. After just three days since its premiere, the supernatural mystery film, which stars Lee Do Hyun, Kim Go Eun, Choi Min Shik, and Yoo Hae Jin, has already surpassed one million moviegoers in theatres.

Already surpassing the one million moviegoers milestone, Exhuma has already dominated the Korean box office for the first two days of release, (released on February 22, 2024 -Thursday). There were a total of 1,000,891 people who had seen the movie by the morning of February 24, 2024, as reported by the Korean Film Council. This remarkable achievement was accomplished in less than three days from the film’s release.

The Storyline of the Film

A rich family from Los Angeles, who have been through a string of paranormal incidents calls upon the talents of two up-and-coming shamans, Hwarim and Bong Gil, to protect their newborn child. Hwarim feels a spectre of their ancestor’s gloomy presence, a so-called “Grave Calling,” once they reach their destination.

Hwarim consults with famous geomancer Kim Sang Deok and mortician Ko Yeong Geun to unearth the grave and provide relief to the ancestor. The four friends discover the burial in a shadowy spot in a village in Korea. Without considering the potential repercussions, the exhumation is executed, releasing a wicked energy from underneath.

More About the Film – Exhuma

Kim Go Eun (Hwarim) and Lee Do Hyun (Bong Gil) star as two exorcists in the occult mystery film Exhuma. Yoo Hae Jin plays a mortician named Ko Yeong Geun, and Choi Min Sik plays a geomancer named Kim Sang Deok. They work as a team and are experts in moving strange tombs for huge sums of money.

On February 22, the picture, which has been accepted to participate in the 74th Berlin International Film Festival, had its debut in theatres, enthralling spectators with its compelling storyline and outstanding cast.
