New Delhi: The highly anticipated and famed seinen manga series Oshi no Ko, announced that soon, its live-action drama will be followed by a prequel movie, releasing in December 2024.

The series that drowned in the fame and applaud it got on its first release in April 2023 on being able to flawlessly tackle the many problems of media that celebrities, pop idols, and big screen stars face with its plot that could get any reader or viewer finding themselves feeling both the need to shed some tears, mixed in with bouts of laughter for the happier parts in between.
The show has earned a massive fanbase, garnering popularity for the plot, characters, and how everything is portrayed. With the announcement of the live stage play drama and movie arriving, fans cannot wait for December to drop by, as the prequel movie will screen in theaters for viewers to enjoy.

Plot
The plot of Oshi no ko follows the life of a deceased doctor and patient, who are reborn as the twins of a famous Japanese pop idol, Ai Hoshino, who they both to an extent, in their past lives held admiration to. Both unaware of each other’s true identities, and fully awakened with the consciousness of their past self in this body, the series follows them both as they face life’s hurdles, being the children of a famous star, unknown to the world and kept hidden to bring no harm to the idol in any way.
The plot thickens when Ai is murdered at the hands of an obsessive fan after he comes to find out she has children of her own. Having lost their mother so suddenly, the two twins are shown in different shedding lights, as they cope with the loss through different perspectives and different motives.
