Farzi in Kannada: “It was a beautiful learning experience,” says Pruthvi Ambaar, who dubbed Shahid Kapoor’s voice

New Delhi: If you witnessed the Kannada dubbed version of Amazon Prime Video’s recently launched appearance Farzi, which stars Shahid Kapoor and Vijay Sethupathi, and believed that some of the tones sounded familiar, it’s due to the creators went out of their way to ensure the efficiency of the voice-overs was good, bringing on floor people like Pranaya Raja Srinath and Dia fame Pruthvi Ambaar, and many others, to offer voice expertise.

Pruthvi, in reality, gets the meaty job, portraying Shahid Kapoor’s identity Sunny on the series made by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, best described as Raj & DK.  Pruthvi has taken to social media to discuss his capability to offer his voice for something like the Kannada version now that the series is flashing on Prime Video and viewers have expressed their appreciation for the dubbing quality.

According to the voice-over artist, Pruthvi, he enjoyed the process and claimed that he had experienced it beautifully and learned a lot. Taking it to social media, he has shared some of the images taken from the studio and captioned them as he is lucky and happy to be a part of this series, especially giving voice to Shahid Kapoor for the Kannada version of Farzi.

Pruthvi, who made his Kannada debut in the 2020 tragic love story Dia, continued to collaborate on the Hindi and Marathi editions of the film, debuting his role. The actor, who was most recently seen in Sugarless, a film about a tender-age man’s battle with diabetes, has a pretty lengthy list of Kannada films in the works. To begin, there’s the vintage slice-of-life movie Dooradarshana, which is accompanied by projects such as For Regn, Bhuvanam Gaganam, Aba Jaba Daba, Life is Beautiful, Pentagon, Matsya Gandha, Happily Married, and Ailu, among several others. With Mazhai Pudikatha Manithan, he will also end up making his Tamil debut film.
