Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan To Reunite For Pakistan’s First Netflix Original

New Delhi: Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan, are set to reunite for a new series. According to a report from Variety, they will star together in Netflix’s first Pakistani-themed Original series. The show is based on the 2013 Urdu novel “Jo Bachay Hain Sang Samait Lo” by Farhat Ishtiaq, who is also the author of the novel “Humsafar,” which the previous show was adapted from.

The upcoming series centers around Sikandar, a Harvard law student who witnesses a life-changing event, and Liza, a skilled artist with a troubled past. The story unfolds as the two characters meet in Italy.

This series not only brings together Fawad Khan and Sanam Saeed from the popular show Barzakh but also features an impressive cast including Ahad Raza Mir, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Bilal Ashraf, Nadia Jamil, Maya Ali, Iqra Aziz, Khushaal Khan, Omair Rana, and Samina Ahmed.

The show will be set across locations in Italy, the UK, and Pakistan, offering a diverse backdrop for the story. It promises beautiful scenery and a culture-rich setting that will likely make it interesting when released on a streaming platform sometime in the future.

According to reports, Netflix has announced its support for an upcoming Indian original series titled “Heeramandi,” which will be directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and explore the lives of courtesans living in a neighborhood called Heeramandi in pre-independent India.
