First Copy OTT Release: First copy is a one-of-a-kind crime drama set to stream soon on the streaming platform MX Player. No streaming date has yet been announced.
The web series stars Munawar Faruqui, Inaamulhaq, Krystle D’Souza, and Ashi Singh in lead roles. Farhan P. Zamma is the director behind First Copy’s production.
Plot
The trailer starts with a glimpse of a man working on a computer. He appears to be burning a disk while being fixated on his task. The man comments about the difference between the people who seek to find sleep and those who stay awake. For those who try to sleep again and again, he states how they’re chasing a dream.
While those people who are staying up an awake all night, reluctant to sleep are the ones chasing the destinations of their passion. Then, the man gets up and pulls his chair over, switching on the fan and obtaining the cd he had been burning through the old computer. The man gabs a CD marker off of the table and writes down the year ‘1999’ on the CD’s film.
With that, the man tosses the CD away onto the figure of the younger guy sleeping on the cot. The man tells him to ‘get to work’ before leaving the room.
He pulls down the ladder leading up to the base of a ship filled with goods and climbs on top, his silhouette reflecting as it fades into the light.
A breaching of the fourth wall also happens in the series. The man turns around to face the audience with a question. He asks them if they really expect to get the whole film in it’s trailer only.
