Friday fun with bevy of Bollywood flicks: Doctor G to Kantara to Code-Name Tiranga

New Delhi: In the festive month of October, this Friday i.e. October 14 is no less than a blockbuster. A wide range of movies in various genres like romance, action, comedy & thriller are hitting the theatres today.

During Dussehra weekend also, movie lovers had a good time as movies like Godfather, Goodbye and The Ghost released in big theatres while on OTT, movies like Madhuri starrer Maja Ma and Karthikeya 2 enthralled the audience at home.

Here are big movies that hit the theatres today:

DOCTOR G

Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Doctor G is about the life of a male gynecologist and the challenges that he faces in professional life. The movie is a comic take on social issues of the society, much like Vicky Donor which garnered rave reviews for offbeat story.


Doctor G has been certified by the Censor Board and given ‘A’ certificate which mandates its watching for only 18+ movie goers. The trailer of the movie was recently released and garnered good reviews.

KANTARA-HINDI

Kantara, the Kannada movie made a moolah in the South and the makers are now anticipating the same success in Hindi film industry. The movie is all geared up to try its luck in Hindu heartland with release of Hindi version today.

The movie will see released in many other languages in coming days and is expected to a big grosser much like James, KGF2, and 777 Charlie.

CODE NAME: TIRANGA

Code Name: Tiranga marks the comeback of Parineeti Chopra in the lead role. It also stars Sharad Kelkar, Rajit Kapur, and Dibyendu Bhattacharya in key roles. The movie comes under the banner of Reliance Entertainment and is backed by the likes of Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar

VICHITRAM

The movie, a crime mystery is hitting the theaters today. It stars Shine Tom Chacko in the lead role. It has been directed by Achu Vijayan & backed by Dr. Ajith Joy.

HALLOWEEN ENDS

The Hollywood movie Halloween Ends is all set to release in theatres on October 14 and marks the last set of movie in the Halloween trilogy. The horror movie will also release on the streaming platform ‘Peacock’ today.
