From romantic drama to action, movies and series will be premiering on OTTs like Netflix, Voot, Amazon Prime, and many others to watch this weekend.




New Delhi: If you feel like avoiding the heat and staying at your cozy corner in your home and binge-watching, this weekend is worth it. Though there will be many big releases in theatres, OTT platforms will be streaming some of the most anticipated movies and series.

From romantic drama to action, movies and series will be premiering on OTTs like Netflix, Voot, Amazon Prime, and many others. We have curated some of the best releases that can be binged and watch all through the weekend.

1. Beast – Netflix

The action-comedy directed by Nelson released in theatres on April 13, and has released on Netflix on May 11. Netflix will offer the Tamil film with Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi versions. The movie stars Vijay and Pooja Hedge in lead roles. It revolves around an ex-RAW agent’s crusade to rescue people held hostages in a shopping mall by terrorists.

2. Savage Beauty – Netflix

The South African TV series casts Rosemary Zimu, Dumisani Mbebe, Nthati Moshesh, Angela Sithole, Jesse Suntele, Nambitha Ben-Mazwi, and Oros Mampofu in pivotal roles. The series focus on Zinhle Manzini, a woman who had a traumatic past and is all set to dig her identity and seek revenge on the affluent and powerful family who ruined her. The series was released on May 12.

3. Sneakerella – Disney+Hotstar

Directed Elizabeth Allen Rosenbaum, the musical comedy narrates the journey of Queens sneaker designer of becoming one of the most famous sneaker designers in the US. The movie stars Chosen Jacobs, Lexi Underwood, and John Salley amongst others. The movie was released on May 13.

4. Modern Love Mumbai – Amazon Prime Video

This is one of the most awaited series which will include six different stories directed by six different directors like Nupoor Asthana, Shonali Bose, Dhruv Sehgal, and Alankrita Shrivastava including big-time Bollywood directors like Vishal Bharadwaj and Hansal Mehta. The series will portray different shades of love irrespective of caste, gender, and age amongst others. The series casts Arshad Warsi, Naseeruddin Shah, Fatima Sana Sheikh, Chitrangda Singh, Prateik Babbar, and others. The series was released today.

5. The Kashmir Files – Zee5

Vivek Agnihotri’s The Kashmir Files was a blockbuster hit at the block office. The movie narrated the displacement of Kashmiri Pandits from the valley in 1990 by the terrorists. The movie featured Anupam Kher, Darshan Kumaar, Mithun Chakraborty, and Pallavi Joshi in lead roles. The movie will be streaming from May 13.
