New Delhi: The digital platforms have been growing by leaps and bounds, offering movie buffs a great opportunity to watch a wide range of web series within the confines of home. The pandemic has only precipitated the growth of platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Zee5 and Disney Plus Hotstar.
Several regional platforms have also mushroomed lately and movies and shows are being produced in Marathi, Gujarati, Malayalam, Assamese, Odia, Telugu.

1) Narappa
The upcoming Telugu flick is the remake of Tamil blockbuster Asuran. The remake is directed by Srikanth Addala and produced by Suresh Babu. The movie will see Venkatesh and Priyamani in lead roles and is all set to release on July 24.

2) Drishyam 2:
Drishyam 2 promises to be a Telugu blockbuster hit, owing to success of Hindi version of the movie. The movie has some popular stars like Ventakesh, Meena, Nadiya and Naresh. The flick, showing the fight of a common man life’s struggles against those sitting in power corridors is set to release in 2nd week of July. It will be streamed on Disney + Hotstar.

3) Virata Parvam:
Rana Daggubati, Sai Pallavi, Eashwari Rao are among prominent names of Telugu industry featuring in this upcoming flick. The film has been waiting for release for past many months but is now set to release next month. Earlier, it was slated for April launch but got delayed. The web series will stream on Netflix.

4) Maestro
Maestro is again the remake of a blockbuster from Bollywood – Andhadun. The Telugu remake is directed by Merlapaka and has Tamannaah Bhatia and Nabha Natesh in lead roles. The film, recounting the thrilling moments of Andhadun, is set to release on Disney + Hotstar in second week of August.
