New Delhi: Anil Sharma, the director of Gadar 2, is currently enjoying a surge of triumph due to the movie’s excellent response from the public. Although the film received mixed feedback from reviewers, it has performed exceptionally well at the box office.
Anil Sharma Talks about Ameesha Patel
In a recent conversation with Bollywood Hungama, Anil Sharma discussed the casting process for the role of Sakeena in his film. He mentioned that he was looking for an actress with a “moon-like face,” and while Ameesha Patel fit the look perfectly, they had also shortlisted another girl who was a better actor. Sharma explained that though the other girl had better acting skills, Ameesha had the personality and attitude that suited the character from a wealthy background.
However, since Ameesha lacked experience in certain aspects of acting, Sharma made it clear to her that she would need at least 6 months of training. Surprisingly, Ameesha agreed and dedicated 4-5 hours every day to training with Sharma. He played a crucial role in helping her embody the personality of Sakeena for the film.

When asked about his current equation with Ameesha, Anil Sharma stated, “I never have a bad relationship with anyone. We had some disagreements before, but we resolved them. Ameesha ji has a certain nature. During the last Gadar, we had some arguments during a meeting. She comes from a privileged background, and sometimes she displays an attitude, but she has a good heart. Sometimes people from privileged families can be a bit stubborn. We are from humble backgrounds and believe in love. She also believes in love, but occasionally her attitude gets in the way. However, she is a good person.”
Earlier in July, Ameesha accused Anil Sharma of mismanaging the shoot of Gadar 2. In response to her allegations, Anil said in an interview with Dainik Bhaskar, “I have no idea why she said all of this. All I can say is that it is false; none of it is true. However, I would like to thank Ameesha Patel for making my production house famous.”
