It’s a follow-up to the 2001 hit film ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha,’ which has become a cultural icon. The film’s strong narrative, superb acting, and dialogues solidified its status as a cinematic classic. With the release of ‘Gadar 2’ this week, it’s the perfect time to reminisce about Sunny Deol’s legendary lines from ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha.’

The partition of India in 1947 is the backdrop of the 2001 film Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. On June 9, when Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, was re-released in theatres, Sunny Deol was sighted in a theatre in Delhi, where he delivered his famous lines from the film, sending fans into a craze.

1) Hindustan Zindabaad tha, aur….

Sunny Deol, dressed all in black in the scene, can be seen speaking directly. He said, “Apka Pakistan Zindabaad Hai… Isse hume koi aitraaz nahi… Par hamaara Hindustan Zindabaad tha, Zindabaad hai aur Zindabaad rahega.”

2) Sar jhuka sakta hoon, toh….

Another interesting dialogue can be heard in Gadar, “Agar main apne biwi bachchon ke liye sar jhuka sakta hoon … toh main sabke sar kaat bhi sakta hoon.”

3) Mujhe mere bachche ko uski Maa se milane se ki koi taaqat….

The 2001 film “Gadar: Ek Prem Katha,” by Anil Sharma, is considered a landmark in the history of Hindi cinema and has many memorable dialogues.

In one scene, when Tara heard that he can’t go to Pakistan and can’t get any visa, he replied, “Ek kagaz par mohar nahi lagegi … toh kya Tara Pakistan nahi jayega? Mujhe mere bachche ko uski Maa se milane se ki koi taaqat… koi sarhad nahi rok sakti.”

4) Agar aaj ye jatt bigad gaya toh….

He also can be heard saying, “Baap bankar beti ko vida kar dijiye, isi me sabki bhalai hai, warna agar aaj ye jatt bigad gaya to saikdo ko le marega…”

5) Musalmani hai, Lo ab ye ho gayi Sikhni… 

Tara’s dialogues may be heard at almost in one of the last scenes, stating, “Musalmani hai ye, Musalmani hai, Lo ab ye ho gayi sikhni… ab kisi ne iski taraf ankh bhi uthayi na, wahe guru ji di sau gardan ukhad dunga…”

With ‘Gadar 2,’ Anil Sharma is going to reunite audiences with Sunny Deol’s Tara Singh on the big screen.
